Need help identifying a few guns if you will..
« on: 17 Jul 2012 - 19:54:18 »
So my future FIL inherited a few guns and I know what two of them are. The Beretta is a .25ACP from probably the 70s. Its a good looking gun with a tilting barrel and mag release instead of the heel release. The shotgun is a Browning Automatic, those are the Belgium Brownings am I correct?

The second pistol I've never heard of so heres a few pics for you guys to tell me what you know.

I've never heard of this company and I haven't taken it to the research yet as I wanted to see what you guys know about it, if anything. I took it apart and I'm sure it doesn't work. It seems to be pretty low quality.

Next is the Beretta, Its .25 ACP and pretty clean for its age. I like it a lot.

Not much to see there.

Next is the rifle that I do not know anything about. Its pretty big, I like it a lot. I think I may end up with it. I originally thought it was a Hakim but Mason said its an SVT.

It has a pretty big magazine.

Some of the markings on it.

That is a picture of the marking on the stock. Its an A with what looks like a star next to it.
Pretty interesting. Sorry for the upside down picture btw.

The best thing about this gun is it has never been fired AFAIK. Its in PERFECT working condition and everything looks great on it.

So the question is, what is it and what is it worth?

Next is the Browning. I didn't take a picture of the entire thing because I know what it is. I'd like to know what the age is on it though if anybody could help. Yet again, sorry for the upside down pics. I think there are a few here.

This one says:
36
16461

So whats it worth?

Now that I know what I'm looking at, I'm pretty sure Mason is right.

That pistol is well known as a "Saturday Night Special".  Simply put its a criminals gun, the fact that you have it makes you a criminal.  If you think I am in error, contact the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.  They will tell you I am 100% correct.

And fired the shot heard round the world.  (Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Concord Hymn"written for the North Bridge memorial)

I came into this world kicking, screaming, covered in someone else's blood. I certainly don't mind leaving the same way

The Valor seems to be a "fa Gradoga Model 967" imported by Valor.

Is the Valor the .22 model or the .25?

The SVT in good shape runs $800- $1100 depending on arsenal and condition, the pistol...probably $50 to someone interested in oddball guns that hang on the wall more than they get shot.

Other than the pistol, you have a great bunch there.

That Valor could also be an FIE Guardian. I found this listing after a little digging.

I believe it's a Kovrov arsenal due to its markings. I believe it's still in the svt stock but it's probably a 41 since it has the four hole brake. 1100 dollars seem right?

i would assume the $1100 as a low end if that SVT is unfired and in good condition or its age to the right buyer. a natural numbers matching 7.62x54r SVT 40 is not all that common to come across. hell i would be happy to find a working mutt gun for less than $700
