I am a HORRIBLE shot with the SKS at 100 yards standing offhand in 89 degrees heat with <5mph winds and 15% relative humidity.... 4 to 5 hits out of 30 rounds of tula ammo and at a paper target. 8-9 inches between holes

lots of low hits....no front sight tools, so will have to get bench system and try to zero it in to see how bad I am...lol. anyways. warm warm warm.....we hiked around half a mile uphill to an area for shooting, we had a 50 ft rope, so using that, we marked in dirt 50 ft intervals, 3rd mark=50 yards, 6th mark=100 yards approximately...shot the SKS and Ruger P85, friends shot .303 British Lee Enfield #1 MK III*, 30-06 hunting rifle, and 10/22 target rifle...and a buckmark .22 pistol...(sweet pistol man)
anyways...I looked like I work for the Cartels or something

I wore THIS kit.... tarp rolled up is ground cover, and buttpack is medic pack with gun cleaning kit and 140ish rounds of 9mm ammo, in addition to the 240 rounds of both SKS and 9mm ammo at the ready, 200 rds of SKS on clips, 40 rounds of 9mm in 3 mags, 2x 15 and the $3 10 rd in the P85.....and 2 qts of ice cold water in my camelbak..that was a HUGE help in the heat..kept my core temp low and made it much more comfortable to hike.....

oh yeah the Bianchi holster...I removed the flap and put this thing on....basically it becomes an easy way of "breaking" it open and excellent retention...

anyways..yeah...the malfunctions; 2 misfires with too light strikes on primers..and noticed damage to the firing pin on my SKS bolt...

anyways....we set up targets at 50 yards and 100 yards, and 50 feet for the .22 pistol and 9mm pistol, targets were NRA small bore, NRA sight in target, and generic "center mass" target thats around 14 inches wide and 18 inches tall; of the rifles, the 10/22 after being sighted in at 50 feet, was the MOST accurate..tho the Lee Enfield with iron sights was the most entertaining at 100 yards against a couple water bottles (boooom lol) the SKS with the irons...shot way too low for the 100m setting....so I think it might have been fiddled with...again, I need a bench session after I get the Murrays firing pin (thanks Core!) installed.... the 30-06 hunting rifle was pretty good with the 50 yard sight in target and 100 yard target, fired from kneeling position....the land...is a piece of Forestry service, with no "no shooting" signs, and good back cover, we shot into a berm on the side of a hill, so that way no strays/fliers were in the area beyond...(all hits hit the ground or berm, none missed either, better accuracy than the target
