Took my class

Passed it! Now I have to wait to get the money to apply with the county.

Don't stop there...tell us about the class - was it worth your time and effort. How was the instruction? Did you go with anyone, how many in the class, what was the class composition (occupations of attendees...). Was there a live fire at the end - how'd ya do - and with what weapon...inquiring minds want to know.

Ah, the benefits of being a disabled vet!! I produced my DD 214 to my County Clerk and a $50 bill and had my CCW in VA. it will take a couple weeks for the paper to come in though since the wife and I did it a few days before the Christmas holiday.

Utah is still a 4 hour class, no range time, about $110 total in class fees and fingerprint/background check/application fees.  They last 5 years, and renewal is simply pay a $15 fee and submit a request, as far as I know, they cannot deny unless you committed a crime.

And the classes are filled up these days, booked out 6 months minmum. ;)

Mine just hit it's halfway-to-needing-renewal point, I'll be getting a new one about 18 months before Obama leaves office. ;)

4 hour class here. Or hunter's safety class. Or DD 214. No shooting, pics, or prints required. $50 to the state and you're good to go. I just used my hunter's safety class as my class. It takes less than a week to get your card in the mail.
