New bow
« on: 30 Jul 2012 - 14:54:10 »
So my son (6 year old) watched the olympic archery with me the other night and has been asking for a compound bow non stop. He has a small recuve bow (a little piece of junk) that he shoots quite a bit, so today I bought him a small compound bow. It is an 18 lb draw, which is the lightest I could find that I thought would be worth the money. Got it home and he can draw it but not very well, but did manage to hit the target I set up about 6 feet away. He is a happy boy, and I just hope he dosent get to frustrated before he can start drawing and holding it well.

Not 100% sure but if you go to a archery outfitter they might be able to lower the draw weight to closer to 10 pounds.
Give me a minute and I'll change your mind, give me a bullet and I'll change you're life.

That was me as a kid.   I was shooting archery almost as soon as I could walk.   Used to shoot all the time, now not so much.  Just don't have the room or time.   Gotta do something about that because I really loved it.
