New Bear Creek upper
« on: 31 Oct 2017 - 18:08:03 »
Picked this up from Classic Arms for $225 shipped, complete with BCG and charging handle.

Pinned it onto one of my AR lowers from another rifle and threw a scope on it.

Headed out to the Conservation Core range about 30 miles from here, not shooting on mine since it's too close to deer season now.

Shooting steel cased Monarch FMJ and some Golden Bear soft point, piled the empties up pretty neatly. Bet the "brass buzzards" were pissed when they found out that the Golden Bear is just brass coated steel case.

My best three round group, shooting off a cheap Caldwell plastic rifle rest, 50 yards. I have some good brass cased stuff I will try when I get a chance, will probably reload for it at some point. Ran 100% with not a single glitch, used 20 round and 10 round ASC magazines.

Nice. I'm going to start building my next rifle and a pistol after the first of the year.

Nice........I've seen some pretty good sale prices from Bear Creek. I might just have to build me one with some parts from there.
Don't talk about what you have done (or what you
are going to do). Do it and let it speak for itself.
